ESSL season is on the way

In May the season starts with a tournament in Reutlingen, Germany.  Nine teams from four different countries will play five tournaments to win the ESSL championship title 2015. But this will be a tough race because only the first 6 teams will make it to the A finals in Lubljana. The other teams will play the B finals.

Important rules for 2015:

  • Playing rules for the ESSL are based on the latest ASA Slow Pitch rules.
  • Only .52/300 balls are allowed. Teams will be required to bring their own balls to each round of the tournament and the ASA stamp and .52/300 must be visible.
  • Stealing is allowed
  • The league standings are based on points. A team receives a certain amount of points based on their tournament result, for instance, 1st to 9th place: 10 points – 8 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 – 0
  • The first 6 teams of the ESSL are qualified for the A tournament in Lubljana in September. All other teams will play a B tournament in Ljubljana.
